A former employee of Fruehauf Trailer Corp, Jeff started his career in 1979 as an assistant used trailer manager.  In 1996 he left his position as Branch Manager Trailmobile London to start Dockside, and now oversees an “A” team of dedicated and skilled individuals.

The son of Jeff, Nash grew up in the trailer business. A graduate of Georgian Colleges Automotive Marketing program, he started by sweeping out trailers, has run the Parts and Service department and now spearheads Sales here at Dockside. His dedication to the business and therefore all customer needs is unwavering.

Dockside Trailer Sales is a trusted dealership specializing in transport trailer sales, service, and parts. Proudly representing top-tier manufacturers like Extreme, and Doepker, we deliver custom-built solutions that keep transportation companies across Canada moving efficiently.

1979

Jeff uprooted his life in Toronto and moved to London to start his new job at the Fruehauf Trailers branch as the used trailer manager.

1990

Jeff assumes the role of Branch Manager at the Trailmobile location on Exeter Road in London.

1996

Jeff departs Trailmobile to establish Dockside Trailer Sales as a Mond Trailer dealer, starting his independent venture in the trailer industry.

1999

Trailmobile Canada acquires Mond Trailers, and Jeff resumes selling Trailmobile products through Dockside Trailer Sales.

2000

Dockside Trailer Rentals is established to meet growing customer demand for trailer rental solutions.

2004

Dockside relocates to a 5-acre facility in St. Thomas, Ontario, featuring a fully equipped office and shop. This move also marks the launch of Dockside Parts and Service, expanding the company’s offerings.

2008

Jeff’s son Nash joins the company, taking on the role of managing the Parts and Service Department. Trailmobile enters bankruptcy protection, marking a significant shift in the trailer manufacturing landscape.

2009

Manac acquires the intellectual property of Trailmobile, and Dockside begins selling Manac products.

2011

Dockside secures a dealership for Benson aluminum flatbed products, further broadening its range of trailer offerings.

2014

Dockside enters the live bottom trailer market as an authorized dealer for Canadian-made ABS Trailers.

2019

Dockside becomes the Ontario dealer for Extreme Trailers, an innovative aluminum flatbed brand, providing coverage across the entire province.

2025

Dockside expanded its offerings by becoming an authorized Doepker Industries dealer for Ontario. This partnership includes Doepker’s industry-leading Sliding Axle, RGN Lowboy Float, and Steel Flat & Drop Deck trailers — all proudly Canadian-built.
